Key Responsibilities Safe Crossings:
Assist children and other pedestrians in safely crossing the street at designated crossing points near the school.
Maintain a vigilant presence to ensure the safety of all individuals during high-traffic periods.
Traffic Management:
Regulate vehicular traffic at designated crossing zones by using appropriate traffic control devices, hand signals, and stop signs to ensure the safe passage of pedestrians.
Maintain Order:
Ensure that students and pedestrians adhere to traffic rules and guidelines while crossing the street.
Encourage students to stay within designated crossing areas and avoid jaywalking.
Arrival and Dismissal Support:
Help manage the safe arrival and dismissal of students, ensuring a smooth transition between school and home.
Be Visible and Approachable:
Wear the provided safety vest and maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor to encourage open communication and build trust with the school community.
Weather Awareness:
Work efficiently in various weather conditions, ensuring the safety of students and pedestrians during rain, snow, or extreme temperatures.
